Researchers at Virginia Tech in the United States examines how 'flying snakes' was able to move from one tree to another. Reported Koreatimes, Monday (03/02/2014), in his study, the researchers explain how this tree snake looks as if it could fly. Slithering reptiles are usually found in the rainforests of Southeast Asia.
Researchers say, this snake jumps and falls from the tree trunk to tree trunk more aerodynamic style. When in the air, these snakes can flatten its body, so that the shape becomes wider.
By leveling the body, then the snake produce aerodynamic forces that contribute to the ability to drift further.
Researchers Jake Socha said, snake called 'Paradise tree snake' or Chrysopelea paradisi robots can help developers to develop future robots.
